CALL TO ORDER - ROLL CALL: Commissioners Beasley, Cason, Brantley Crawford, Ray Crawford, Myers, City Attorney Maines, & City Manager Berchtold.
ITEM A. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE – Mayor Beasley
ITEM B. APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA FORMAT
ITEM C. PROVISION OF CITIZEN INPUT: Upon recognition by the Mayor, any person may address the Commission on any subject not included on the agenda. Speakers are requested to give their name and address to the recording clerk for the record and to come forward to the Commission table when speaking. Please be as brief as possible and limit your remarks to four (4) minutes (additional time may be granted by the Commission if necessary). No official action can be taken on these items presented, but direction may be given to the staff as needed.
ITEM 1. PUBLIC HEARING AND DISCUSSION OF THE PROPOSED MILLAGE RATE OF 2.246 MILLS AND THE TENTATIVE BUDGET FOR
FY 2008-09.
(Each of you has a copy of the Proposed Budget for the coming year. We have already discussed some of the key points. If there are any formal changes, now is the time to do).
ITEM 2. ADOPTION OF THE PROPOSED MILLAGE RATE OF 2.246 MILLS
(At this time, a motion is in order to adopt the proposed millage rate of 2.246 mills for FY 2008-29).
ITEM 3. ADOPTION OF THE TENTATIVE BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2008-09
(At this time, the Commission should adopt the TENTATIVE Budget for FY 2008-09.
ITEM 4. ESTABLISH A SPECIAL MEETING AND FINAL HEARING FOR ADOPTION OF THE PROPOSED MILLAGE RATE AND BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2008-09.
(At this time, a motion should be entertained to confirm the Special Meeting and FINAL Public hearing on the proposed millage rate and adoption of the budget for Monday, September 29, 2008 at 5:15 p.m.)
